We started Flatland Expeditions in 2022 because we saw how hard it was for contractors, truckers, and shop owners to get straight answers about commercial auto insurance. We speak the trade, not insurance jargon.
Built for the corridor
Flatland Expeditions is based in Kansas City, Missouri—right in the heart of the I-35, I-70, and I-80 freight corridors. We work with businesses that run vehicles: contractors driving to job sites, truckers hauling freight, auto shops servicing customer cars, real estate investors checking on properties.
We're an independent agency. That means we're not captive to any single insurance carrier—we work with a wide variety of carriers and markets to find the right fit for each client. When one market doesn't work, we shop around. That's the advantage of independence.
We're also appointed with CNA Surety and Merchants Bonding for construction and contract bonds—so if you're a contractor who needs bonding, we can handle that too.

We're licensed in six states across the heartland corridor. Texas is our biggest market, with cross-border expertise for US-Mexico freight lanes through Laredo and El Paso.
