motor carriers

Owner-operators to regional fleets—we have deep carrier relationships in trucking. This is where Flatland started, and it's still our strongest bench.

New Authority

Just got your MC number?

New authority trucking insurance is harder to place—fewer carriers will write you, and rates are higher. We work with markets that specialize in new ventures and can usually find coverage even with limited operating history.

We'll also help you understand the FMCSA filing requirements (BMC-91 or BMC-91X) and make sure your filings are in order.

What we need from you

  • MC/DOT number (or pending application)
  • Driver information (MVRs, CDLs, experience)
  • Equipment list (year, make, VIN)
  • Radius of operations
  • Commodity types you'll haul
  • Estimated annual mileage
